Tripartite partners open call for workplace safety solutions

Chosen participants may receive up to $200,000 per prototype under AfA-SHEL.

Singapore’s tripartite partners have launched an open call to develop workplace safety and health solutions under the Alliance for Action on Safety and Health for Employment Longevity (AfA-SHEL).

The initiative will focus on injury prevention beyond high-risk workplaces and helping workers return after serious injury or illness.

Another key area is workplace adaptation and job redesign for employees with different physical and health needs.

Around 30 organisations are expected to be selected for a 14-month innovation programme beginning in August and may receive up to $200,000 in funding for each prototype.

Participants will also have access to resource persons and support from an assigned account manager.

Applications are open to Singapore-registered organisations until 31 August.

AfA-SHEL is jointly led by the Ministry of Manpower, the National Trades Union Congress, and the Singapore National Employers Federation.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
