Hyphen Pharma’s profit sinks 66.3% in H1

This was amidst a decrease in revenue.

Hyphens Pharma International Limited’s net profit after tax declined by 66.3% year on year to $2m during the first half of the year, amidst a decrease in revenue.

The 18.9% YoY decline in revenue in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Aesthetics segment was mainly due to lower sales in Vietnam.

Moreover, the Digital Platform and E-Pharmacy segment saw a YoY decrease of 5.9% to $20.4m.

However, the Proprietary Brands segment grew by 22.5% YoY to $17.4m, with the expansion of its portfolio, and higher demand for Ceradan® dermatological products and Ocean Health® health supplements.

Basic earnings per share stood at $0.54.
