Ministry of Health boosts Medisave withdrawal limits

Find out more about the new scheme.

According to a release, from 1 November 2013, the Ministry of Health (MOH) will be increasing the Medisave withdrawal limits for MediShield and Integrated Shield plans premiums as follows:

From $800 to $1,000 for those aged 66 to 75 (based on age next birthday);

From $1,000 to $1,200 for those aged 76 to 80 (based on age next birthday); and

From $1,200 to $1,400 for those aged 81 and above (based on age next birthday).

The Medisave withdrawal limits were already adjusted on 1 March 2013 to fully support the premiums for MediShield, and increase the support for the premiums of Integrated Shield plans offered by private insurers.

This further round of changes will enable Singaporeans to use more Medisave in paying for premiums for the private Integrated Shield plans.

The revised Medisave withdrawal limits will apply to all MediShield and Integrated Shield policies renewed or commenced from 1 November 2013. These changes will help Singaporeans better support their insurance premiums.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
