OUE to acquire OUELH stake from ITOCHU

OUE will support the long-term prospects of OUELH.

OUE has signed an agreement with Tokyo-based ITOCHU Corporation to purchase its shares of OUE Lippo Healthcare (OUELH).

In an announcement in the Singapore Exchange, the real estate giant said it has signed a purchase agreement and a memorandum of understanding with ITOCHU to purchase its 6% stake in Singapore-based OUELH.

On 31 March, OUE will purchase the shares of OUELH for approximately $27.6m, or at $0.10 per unit.

"The transaction extends the strategic partnership with ITOCHU Corporation and is inline with the group’s commitment to the longer-term prospects of OUELH’s healthcare business. The transaction will also allow OUELH to focus on executing its longer term business plan with the firm support of its key stakeholders," OUE said in the bourse announcement.

OUELH currently operates one hospital in China and owns 12 nursing homes in Japan.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
