Chart of the Day: Where do Singapore's tourists come from?

Indonesia is the largest market.

Visitors from neighboring countries make up over 70% of total tourist arrivals in Singapore, according to this chart from DBS.

Indonesia is Singapore's largest tourism market, with 20% of visitors coming from the neighbouring archipelago. Mainland China contributes 11% of tourists to the city-states.

There are also many tourists from other ASEAN countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, which make up 8%, 6% and 5% of Singapore's total tourist arrivals.

Tourists from Australia, Japan and Hong Kong make up 7%, 6%, and 4% of total visitor arrivals.
