F1 Singapore Grand Prix to pull in about $150m in extra tourism receipts

80% of ticket inventory taken up as early as 1 Sept.

Tourists are expected to overcrowd the city in the run up to this year’s Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.

According to the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the F1 is expected to pull in about $100m in extra tourism receipts this year, according to STB.

On September 1, race promoter Singapore GP Pte Ltd announced that over 80% of the available ticket inventory has already been taken up.

Of these, seven ticket categories are already sold out. These are the Connaught Grandstand, Esplanade Waterfront Grandstand, Combination Package A, Combination Package B, Combination Package E, three-day Zone 4 Walkabout and Friday Zone 4 Walkabout tickets.

With limited inventory remaining for three general ticket categories, fans now have a last chance to purchase the Bay Grandstand, three-day Premier Walkabout and Sunday Pit Grandstand tickets.

In addition, the Pit Grandstand, Turn 1 Grandstand, Turn 2 Grandstand, Turn 3 Premier Grandstand, Stamford Grandstand and Combination Package G are selling fast.
