Jewel Changi celebrates 5 years with 26% footfall increase

Overseas travelers make up 30% of the airport's footfall.

Jewel Changi Airport celebrated its fifth year with a 26% increase in footfall and a 20% increase in sales for FY23/24.

Of the total footfall recorded, 30% were overseas travellers, mainly from China, Malaysia, Taiwan, the US, and Indonesia.

Jewel’s 14,000 sqm Canopy Park also saw a 12% growth in total visitor numbers and a 35% increase in sales, whilst its Double Rewards loyalty programme saw over 10% membership rise.

In celebration of its fifth anniversary, Jewel will offer new attractions to tourists, including a new Light & Music show titled “What A Feelin5” and a new behind-the-scenes tour for the Jewel Rain Vortex starting on 2H24.

The airport will also bring back the “Jewel Blooms” exhibit from 24 May to 11 August at Canopy Park in collaboration with award-winning Singaporean garden designer Andy Eng and Japanese floral artist Megumi Shinozaki.

There will also be over 50-anniversary perks for shoppers and diners across retail, dining, and in-store experiences in collaboration with Jewel’s tenants.

The airport will launch exclusive offers and promotions in phases.

In addition, Jewel will introduce new stores in May and June featuring local and new-to-market brands.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.
The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.
If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
