Trip.com reveals top travel trends for Singaporeans in 2025

Cruising and space tourism is gaining traction among Singaporean travellers.

According to Trip.com, the top food experiences for Singapore travellers are food festivals (63%), street food tours (63%), restaurants with unique or scenic views (56%), and hotel dining (51%).

Trip.com also observed preference for wine and beer tasting amongst men and cookery among women. Millennials are also found to be interested in interactive food art events.

When it comes to leisure experiences, cruising gained traction amongst Singaporeans due to its affordability (57%), scenic views (52%), and all-inclusive travel (51%).

In addition, vacations around concerts were also popular amongst Singaporeans with 66% planning to organise trips around live events in 2025.

In 2024, 47% of Singaporean travellers planned vacations around concerts. Within this group, 16% have done so multiple times, and 31% at least once or twice.

Aside from concerts, sports events are also popular among Singaporeans, with football (39%), Formula 1 (31%), and basketball (26%) being the top sports they are willing to watch while traveling.

Social media and television also influence Singaporeans’ travel decisions with 70% of Singaporean travellers turning to social media for travel inspiration and 70% getting travel inspiration from shows such as The Lord of the Rings, Titanic, and Harry Potter.

For 2025, Singaporeans are seeking new experiences including dark sky stargazing (32%), space tourism (23%), as well as underwater hotel stays.
