Chart of the day: More board seats for directors with CEO experience

CTO and CIO experienced directors are not frequently given seats at the table.

This chart from Heindrick & Struggles Board Monitor 2022 report shows the C-level experience of new directors in Singapore.

The chart shows that most companies give seats to directors who previously held the role of CEO. 

ALSO READ: New women directors in Singapore dips to 28% in 2021

In a break from tradition, Singapore boards are less often seating people with CFO or COO experience.

The chart also shows that the least given board member seats are CTOs and CIOs.
