MindChamps PreSchool log 86% net profit jump to $2.6m in H1

Revenue rose 10% whilst expenses fell by 4% during the period.

MindChamps PreSchool Limited and its subsidiaries reported a net profit of $2.6m in the first six months of 2025, an 86% jump from the same period a year earlier.

Total profit attributable to equity holders of the company rose 94% year-on-year (YoY) to nearly $2.64m over the same period, according to the company’s bourse filing.

Gross profit was $16.65m, up 26% YoY.

Expenses were 4% YoY lower, at just over $14.71m on the back of lower manpower expenses and lower amortisation of intangible assets.

Revenue increased by approximately 10% to $32.1m in H1 2025, attributed to a $3.6m increase in franchise income thanks to sales of franchise licenses during the period. Commission income declined $0.6m due to the divestment of its childcare enrollment business in H2 2024.

Impairment of financial assets increased to $0.4m in H1 2025, due to specific provisions of doubtful debts made in H1 2025, in line with its credit risk assessment.

Earnings per share was 1.08 cents per share, basic and diluted.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
