Prudential Assurance Company Singapore (Pte) Limited (Prudential Singapore) was conferred the prestigious Asia’s Best Employer Award at the 4th Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards. The annual regional award is jointly organised by the Employer Branding Institute and the World HRD Congress.

Winners of the award are selected based on the following criteria: exemplary learning and development initiatives, communicating distinctiveness in employee hiring, training and retention practices, and being continuously innovative.

Prudential Singapore viewed the award as an affirmation of its focus on excellence in employee hiring, training and retention, among other exemplary Human Resources practices.

“We are honoured to receive this award. It recognises our efforts in creating a workplace environment that is conducive for our staff to grow and develop. At Prudential Singapore, we believe that our employees play a vital role in the company’s success and we strongly value people with passion, spirit and the determination to succeed. Our Human Resources team has worked hard to create an encouraging environment for the staff,” said Tomas Urbanec, Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Singapore. “This award would not have been possible without the efforts of the entire Prudential team.”

Gan Peck Yeow, Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, added, “Prudential Singapore firmly believes that people are our greatest asset. Our Human Resources policies, initiatives and employee engagement activities are centered on this belief and consequently, are focused on creating and achieving a unique value proposition to enrich the total work experience for everyone. This accolade is a strong endorsement of Prudential as an attractive employer of choice. Moving forward, we will continue with our efforts to build an even more engaged and high performing workplace.”

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
