From being the most overworked nation years back, Singapore is now among the top markets with the best work-life balance, ranking 26th globally.

In Asia, Singapore ranked second, behind Tokyo, Japan.

Remote, which published the ranking, evaluates countries based on factors such as statutory annual leave, paid maternity leave, and average hours worked per employee.

In Singapore, employees have an average of 18 days of statutory annual leave and eight weeks of paid maternity leave.

Overall, the nation received an index score of 56.84.
