SMF, Tuas Power launch sustainability support programme for SMEs
The initiative will help SMEs with sustainability reporting and actionable frameworks.
The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) and Tuas Power have signed an agreement to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with sustainability reporting and actionable frameworks.
The Chief Sustainability Officer-as-a-Service (CSOaaS) programme offered by SMF’s Centre for Sustainability and Resilience, is a structured one-year programme that helps businesses set baseline sustainability metrics, build roadmaps, identify ecosystem partners, and access green financing and carbon offset opportunities.
Under the agreement, Tuas Power will offer up to $3,000 in credits to customers who participate in the CSOaaS programme. The funding is tiered based on contract length and energy consumption.
SMEs contribute approximately 47% of Singapore’s GDP, and the collaboration aims to expand sustainability support for this segment.
“SMF is proud to partner with Tuas Power to scale our sustainability outreach and impact,” Lennon Tan, president of SMF said. “This project embodies how large corporations can use their platforms to uplift entire ecosystems, helping SMEs become more resilient and future-ready.”
