What are the top 3 criteria employees look for in a job?

Seven in 10 Singaporeans are looking to switch jobs in 2022.

Employees in Singapore who plan to switch jobs in 2022 look intro three factors before doing so, according to a survey by LinkedIn.

Singaporeans said they are on the lookout for jobs that allow for flexible arrangements (36%), and remote work (26%), whilst 26% said they want to work with sustainability or corporate responsibility element in the role.

The top three criteria were also related to the five factors identified by employees that will convince them to stay in their current employers, with 39% saying they will not leave if their work allows greater flexibility.

Other factors were salary increase (54%), improved work-life balance (42%), opportunities to develop skills (39%), and opportunities to progress in their careers (39%).

According to LinkedIn, seven in 10 employees are eyeing to change careers in 2022, and 54% of them believe that they’ll be successful in doing so.

Meanwhile, the following are the jobs that will be in high demand in 2022, according to LinkedIn’s “Jobs on the Rise” list:

  1. Machine learning engineer
  2. Healthcare assistant
  3. Back end developer
  4. Talent acquisition specialist
  5. Sustainability manager
