SFA, AMTD, partners co-establish cybersecurity platform

The platform aims to grow and groom cybersecurity talents.

The Singapore Fintech Association (SFA), along with AMTD, the University of Waterloo, and workforce and mobility platform iQ4 has signed a memorandum of agreement to establish a cybersecurity platform based in Singapore, according to a joint release.

The @-WISE Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence aims to raise the awareness of the importance of cybersecurity among digital platforms, fintechs, financial institutions, and other sectors in Singapore, the announcement said.

It also aims to help grow and groom cybersecurity talents, as well as build a cybersecurity ecosystem in response to the escalating cybersecurity threats.

Knowledge advisor and supporting organisations for this platform include Ernst & Young Advisory (EY), AMTD Charity Foundation HK Cyberport—fully owned by the Hong Kong government—and Infinity Power.
