SG, UNDP sign MoU on people-centred urban tech innovation

It aims to harness the potential of people-centred urban technologies and innovation.

Singapore’s Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming to harness the potential of people-centred urban technologies and innovation.

Under the MoU, the two parties will seek to strengthen the partnership by tapping CLC’s expertise in the urban sector and UNDP’s global presence to enhance sustainable urban development.

This includes promoting sustainable urban development through knowledge-sharing sessions, external symposiums, conferences, and other national or global platforms.

Key events will include the World Cities Summit 2026, CLC’s Lecture Series, and the Science of Cities Symposium.

The MoU was signed by Hugh Lim, executive director of CLC, and Marcos Neto, UN assistant secretary-general and director of the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support.
