Great Eastern Holdings appoints Khoo Cheng Hoe Andrew to board role

He was previously Deputy Managing Director for Corporate Development at MAS.

Great Eastern Holdings has appointed Khoo Cheng Hoe Andrew as a non-executive and non-independent director, effective 8 September 2025.

Khoo, 62, will also serve as a member of the company’s Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, and Remuneration Committee.

He was previously Deputy Managing Director for Corporate Development at the Monetary Authority of Singapore from 1997 to 2019, and later taught as an adjunct professor at the National University of Singapore’s Business School.

Khoo currently sits on several boards, including as director of Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC), which is a substantial shareholder of Great Eastern. 

He is also chairman of OCBC Bank (Hong Kong), director of Bank of Ningbo, director of OCBC Management Services, board member of Singapore’s National Environment Agency, and director of Stroke Support Station Ltd.

He holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Monash University, and is a member of CPA Australia.
