COTD: SG takes lion's share of equity funding in SEA

In 2022, Singapore’s deal value hit $10.99b.

Singapore dominated Southeast Asia in venture capital funding for the year 2022.

Data from Enterprise Singapore and DealStreetAsia showed that Singapore-headquartered firms accounted for 56.3% of the total deal volume in the region.

The Lion City also had the biggest share of equity funding in SEA deal value-wise (63.8%).

Behind Singapore was Indonesia, which accounted for 21.9% of the deal value and 22.4% of the deal volume.
