Link REIT appoints former BlackRock real estate head as new CIO

John Saunders will begin his CIO duties on 4 March 2024.

Former BlackRock real estate head John Saunders will take the helm as Group Chief Investment Office of Link REIT starting 4 March 2024.

Saunders will report to  George Hongchoy, the CEO of Link Asset Management Limited (Link), the manager of the REIT.

As CIO, Saunders will be responsible for the REIT’s overall investment strategies, portfolio management and the strategic development of Link’s investment business. 

Apart from BlackRock, Saunders also worked at Hongkong Land from 1994 to 1998, where he was involved with the development and leasing of several landmark projects in Singapore and other Asian countries.
