LREIT makes it to Singapore Governance and Transparency Index Top 10

It ranked 10th with a score of 94.8.

Lendlease Global Commercial REIT (LREIT) improved its ranking in the Singapore Governance and Transparency Index (SGTI) 2022, securing 10th place in the REIT and Business Trust Category with a score of 94.8.

This is up from 15th place last year with a score of 88.8, LREIT said in a statement.

“This is a great achievement given that this is only our second year in the index. This significant improvement in our SGTI ranking is a timely recognition of the LREIT team’s effort to implement corporate governance best practices in all aspects of our business,” said Kelvin Chow, CEO of LREIT’s Manager.

“We will continue to strive for excellence in this area and will aim to further improve our ranking down the road, for the benefit of our unitholders as well as our other stakeholders,” he added.

The SGTI is a collaboration between CPA Australia, NUS Business School’s Center for Governance and Sustainability, and the Singapore Institute of Directors. This is based on the criteria including board responsibilities, rights of shareholders, engagement of stakeholders such as sustainability management, accountability and audit, and disclosure and transparency.

The index assessed 489 listed companies in the General Category and 44 REITs and Business Trusts for this year.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
