Securities turnover jumped 14% to $24.1 billion in February

Daily average value rose 8%.

The Singapore Exchange reported that total securities market turnover value climbed 14% year-on-year to $24.1 billion in February, while the average daily traded value rose 8% year-on-year to $1.3 billion.

There were no new equity listings last month, but there were 17 new bond listings which raised $3.7 billion.

Meanwhile, market turnover value of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) was S$209 million, down 24% month on month and up 7% year on year.

Total derivatives volume was 13.9 million, down 22% month-on-month and 43% year-on-year.

The FTSE China A50 Index Futures remained the most active contract with volume of 5.6 million, down 31% month on month and up 47% year on year.

SGX Commodities Derivatives volume was 1.2 million, down 6% month on month and up 194% year on year.
