Singapore's leading startup players to gather at SBR Hottest Startups Panel Briefing 2019

It will be held on 24 October.

The key players and builders of Singapore’s startup ecosystem will once again come together for Singapore Business Review's 20 Hottest Startups of 2019 Panel Briefing on 24 October at Four Points By Sheraton Singapore.

On its seventh year, the Hottest Startups Panel Briefing has steadily become the landmark event discussing the latest developments, trends, and best practices for startups seeking to catapult into the global stage. The roster of elite attendees from previous editions include Grab, Zalora, StashAway, Golden Gate Ventures, Monk's Hill Ventures, Jungle Ventures, and Entrepreneur First.

There will be six engaging panel discussions featuring insights from high-profile speakers. IncuVest's Bernard Shen; AnyMind Group's Kosuke Sogo; Beam's Alan Jiang; and Venturra Capital's Karissa Adelaide will discuss the growing variety of funding sources for cash-strapped startups seeking the necessary financing fuel to grow their businesses. Similarly, Silot's Andy Li; Holmusk's Joydeep Sarkar and Igloohome's Anthony Chow will discuss the distribution of funding per startup vertical against a backdrop where fintechs are snapping up most of the available capital.

ImpacTech's Kineret Karin and RWDC's Zhaotan Xiao will outline the opportunities and challenges of overseas expansion. Meanwhile, the rapid evolution of the food ecosystem will be tackled by Nutrition Innovation's Matthew Godfrey and Zeemart's Neeraj Sundarajoo.

The lessons from the boom and bust stories of what was once the city's most promising startups will be discussed in detail by Zeemart's Keith Tan; Trive's Ting Yan Leck and AccelerAsia's Joeri Gianotten. Armed with these lessons, attendees can gain first-hand insights on the journey towards the coveted unicorn status from Shavit Clein of Trax, Singapore's second billion-dollar startup.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
