Bank of Singapore taps Joey Tang as head of investment solutions in Hong Kong

The appointment is effective immediately.

Bank of Singapore has appointed Joey Tang as Head of Investment Solutions Group Hong Kong with immediate effect.

Tang will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Vivienne Chia, global head of Investment Solutions Group, and Rickie Chan, head of Private Banking in Greater China, and chief executive of the Hong Kong branch.

He will be responsible for the bank’s product and solutions strategy for the Hong Kong branch in areas such as capital markets, alternative investments and managed solutions, and lending advisory.

Tang will also be responsible for driving the bank’s innovation of product capabilities in support of the clients in the Greater China region.

Tang brings 30 years of experience in investment banking and private banking. Prior to this appointment, he was head of Funds, Alternatives, and Solutions at Bank of China (Hong Kong) Private Banking.

He was also head of the Greater China region and the head of Fixed Income, Commodities, and Currencies for Citigroup Global Markets.

“His extensive experience and leadership qualities will lend strength to our team as we continue to provide best-in-class investment solutions, helping clients achieve investment diversification and enhancing returns across portfolios, especially at this time of heightened macro uncertainty,’ Chia said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
