SID names Emily Poon as new CEO
She will assume the post starting 1 March.
The Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) has appointed Emily Poon as CEO-designate from 1 March 2026 and taking over the role effective 1 May 2026, according to a press release.
Poon succeeds Terence Quek, who has served as CEO for four years, during which SID’s membership increased from 3,300 to more than 5,500, according to the institute.
“The Council went through an extensive search for candidates, supported by an executive search firm,” said Yeoh Oon Jin, Chair of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
Poon brings more than 20 years of experience, having most recently served as President, Asia Pacific, of Ogilvy Public Relations, and is an Accredited Director and member of SID.
She currently serves on the Industry Advisory Council at the National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, the Families for Life Council under the Ministry of Social and Family Development, and the executive committee of Singapore Management University’s Leading Executives and Directors Alumni Group.
