If a nation’s brand values can be summed up by how it names its shopping centres, what does this say about the UK versus Singapore? Chris Reed tells us.

Singapore has malls and shopping centres called Sunshine Plaza, Lucky Plaza, Peace Centre, Suntec, The Majestic, Marina Bay, Golden Mile, Great World City, Vivo City, United Square, People’s Park, Far East Plaza, Change Alley, International, ION, White Sands. These names conjure up vibrancy, positivity, sunshine, aspirations, happiness and prosperity, many of the brand values of the nation itself.
