AEM Holdings hit with patent infringement lawsuit by Advantest
AEM strongly denies the allegations.
AEM Holdings Ltd. has announced that Advantest Test Solutions, Inc. (Advantest) has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against AEM and its subsidiaries, AEM Singapore Pte. Ltd. and AEM Americas, Inc., in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
The suit alleges infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 11,674,999 and 12,320,841, covering a wafer-level test system that AEM says it does not use.
AEM strongly denies the claims and has retained U.S. counsel to defend itself.
The company said the lawsuit will not affect its operations, products, or ability to serve customers, and it is maintaining its revenue guidance for the second half of 2025.
AEM previously settled related disputes with Advantest through arbitration in July 2023.
The company said it will update shareholders if there are material developments and advised caution in trading its shares.
