Avation posts $7.7m loss in FY2025

The group’s revenue rose 19.2% to $110.1m.

Avation PLC reported a loss after tax of $7.7m for the year ended 30 June 2025, compared with a $19.7m profit last year.

The group’s revenue rose 19.2% to $110.1m. The company declared a dividend of 1.0 US cent per share.

Executive Chairman Jeff Chatfield said that all of its aircraft were on lease throughout the year. He highlighted several milestones, including the transition of an ATR 72-600 to Colombian airline Clic Air, an extension of an Airbus A320-200 lease with easyJet, and the signing of leases for the first two aircraft from its ten-unit ATR orderbook.

Avation also added Etihad Airways as a new customer following the purchase of an Airbus A320-200, while two ATR 72-600s were sold to existing lessees exercising purchase options.

In September, Avation sold a Boeing 777-300ER at a profit above book value. The proceeds are being used to reduce debt and reinvest in narrowbody aircraft.

The company reduced its net debt to assets ratio to 54.8% and cut outstanding 2026 notes to $298 million.

Moody’s and Fitch assigned first-time ratings of B1/B2 and B, respectively, both with stable outlooks.

Avation said it plans to refinance its 2026 notes and expand its fleet through new ATR 72-600 deliveries.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
