Chartered Accountants rank second-most trusted in Singapore
Globally, 83% trust Chartered Accountants, ranking the profession third after doctors and engineers.
Chartered Accountants are the second most trusted profession in Singapore, behind doctors, according to a 2025 Trust Survey by Edelman DXI.
In Singapore, 85% of respondents said they trust Chartered Accountants to “do the right thing,” a seven-point increase since 2019; trust in ISCA was 88%, up eight points over the same period.
Globally, 83% trust Chartered Accountants, ranking the profession third after doctors and engineers.
Whilst overall trust in the broader accountancy profession has dipped slightly since 2023, trust in Chartered Accountants held steady at 83%, widening the gap.
Respondents in Singapore also linked CAs to business outcomes: 87% said they help firms adapt to new challenges; 84% rely on them for strategic guidance; 86% said they support AI adoption and automation; and 82% recognised their role in steering AI investment.
The study polled 1,725 senior financial decision-makers across 10 markets.
