DBS, Ant International deepen ties to enhance cross-border payments

DBS PayLah! users will soon be able to make payments at Alipay+ merchants.

DBS and Ant International have expanded their strategic partnership to develop cross-border payment and fintech solutions aimed at boosting financial inclusion and innovation across Asia.

Under the deal, DBS PayLah! users will soon be able to make payments at more than 150 million Alipay+ merchants in over 100 markets.

Both companies are also exploring a bank-to-wallet service that will allow near-instant remittances between DBS customers and the 1.8 billion user accounts in the Alipay+ ecosystem, using ISO 20022 standards and the SWIFT network.

DBS will also partner with Ant International’s merchant service provider Antom to help small and medium enterprises advance their digital transformation, including through potential use of AI-based agentic payment solutions.

The bank will work with WorldFirst to enhance same-day cross-border payment solutions for SMEs.
