H2G Green unit faces court action over Jurong fire safety breach

Its subsidiary may be fined $200,000 with additional fines for a continuing offence.

H2G Green Limited said on Thursday that its 50.1 percent-owned subsidiary, Green Energy Investment Holding Private Limited (GEIH), has been charged by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) following a fire at its wood waste storage site in Jurong last 27 July 2025.

The charge relates to a change in the use of premises without prior approval, which may have affected existing fire safety measures, H2G Green Limited said in a bourse filing.

The SCDF issued a summons dated 8 October 2025, requiring GEIH to appear before the State Courts of Singapore on 21 October to answer a charge under Section 61(1) of the Fire Safety Act 1993.

Under the act, a conviction could result in a fine of up to $200,000, imprisonment for up to two years, or both. Additional fines of up to $1,000 per day may apply for a continuing offence.

H2G Green said GEIH is seeking legal advice and will provide updates as appropriate. The company advised shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when dealing in its shares pending further announcements.
