SIA Group passenger traffic up 5.4% in August

This drove the PLF up 2.3 percentage points to 88%.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group’s passenger traffic grew 5.4% year-on-year, exceeding the 2.7% rise in capacity.

The passenger load factor (PLF) climbed 2.3 percentage points to 88%.

SIA recorded a PLF of 86.9%, whilst Scoot hit 91.9%. Combined, the airlines carried 3.6 million passengers, up 9.4% from a year ago.

On the cargo side, front-loading demand moderated, leading to a modest 0.5% year-on-year increase in loads, below the 2.3% growth in cargo capacity.

Consequently, the cargo load factor fell by 0.9 percentage points to 55.2%.

As of the end of August 2025, the SIA Group’s passenger network spanned 129 destinations across 37 countries and territories, with SIA serving 78 destinations and Scoot 73.

The cargo network covered 133 destinations in 38 countries and territories.
