Singapore ranks 7th in the 2025 Global Talent Ranking
It fell by five places from the 2024 ranking.
Singapore ranked seventh out of 69 in the global talent ranking for 2025, falling five places from its second rank in 2024, according to IMD’s World Talent Ranking (WTR).
The report evaluated the countries’ talent competitiveness on three main factors: investment and development, appeal, and readiness.
Singapore ranked second in readiness, showing high numbers, particularly in educational assessments, finance skills, and language skills.
In terms of appeal, Singapore declined from fifth rank to ninth rank. Levels were high in remuneration of management, justice, and attracting and retaining talent.
In investment and development, Singapore declined from 22nd to 30th place. Health infrastructure ranked the highest.
However, Singapore’s lowest ranking indicator was the cost-of-living index at 65th. The total public expenditure on education also ranked low at 63rd.
