StarHub’s net profit down by 41.7% YoY in H1 2025

Earnings per share for H1 2025 dropped 43.8% YoY to 2.6 cents.

StarHub has reported a net profit after tax (NPAT) attributable to shareholders of $47.9m in the first half of 2025, down 41.7% from the same period last year.

According to the company, the drop included a one-off forfeiture payment of $14.1m for the return of one lot of 700MHz spectrum rights. If excluded, NPAT stood at $62m for H1 2025, down 23% year-on-year (YoY).

StarHub reported that total revenue for H1 2025 was $1.1b, representing a 2.2% YoY growth.

In a bourse filing, the company said the improvement in revenue was underpinned by robust performance in the cybersecurity services, which grew by 20.1% YoY. The regional enterprise segment and broadband services also rose by 6.8% and 4.4% YoY, respectively.

These gains were offset by lower revenue contributions from the company’s mobile and entertainment services.

StarHub’s earnings per share stood at 2.6 cents, down 43.8% from 4.6 cents in the previous year.

The company has declared an interim dividend of 3 cents per share, unchanged from a year ago. It will be paid on 5 September 2025.
