Here's where private condos can be bought over market value

Two districts had a median transaction over value of around $20,000.

Private condos in Boat Quay, Raffles Place, Marina, Alexandra, and Commonwealth could be bought over market value in August, the Singapore Real Estate Exchange (SRX) reported.

District 1 and District 3 posted the highest median transaction over X-value (TOX) of POSITIVE $20,000.

The TOX is a measure people are overpaying or underpaying the SRX Property X-Value estimated market value.

District 1 covers Boat Quay, Raffles Place, and Marina. District 3 covers Alexandra and Commonwealth.

"This means that a majority of the buyers in those districts purchased units above the computer-generated market value," SRX said.

Meanwhile, District 20 had the most negative median TOX with NEGATIVE $20,000. The district covers Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, and Thomson.

"This means that a majority of the buyers in these districts purchased units below the computer-generated market value," SRX said.

Overall median TOX is ZERO in August 2017.

There was no change in overall median TOX on a MoM basis.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
