Auction listings down 19.5% QoQ in Q4 22: Knight Frank

Almost 100 listings were recorded in the past quarter.

Real estate analyst, Knight Frank, documented that auction listings in Q4 2022 saw a 19.5% QoQ and 31.9% YoY decline with only 99 listings.

It also recorded mortgagee sale listings to 10, which fell 61.5% QoQ. Mostly were residential and industrial properties.

Owner sale listings fell 18.2% QoQ to 72, with more office and HDB shophouse listings. With the rising cost of consumption, interest rates and reduction in pandemic support, more bankruptcy cases were recorded.

The market outlook is still challenging as the economy worsens, with possible decline in asking prices for private residential owners.
