Chart of the Day: Midsize condos took a bigger share in deals in Q4 2019

Smaller condos still dominated sales volume in the quarter.

This chart from EDMUND TIE shows that the share of condo units sized 1,000 to 1,500 sqft expanded to 19% in Q4 2019, compared to 16% in Q3.

At the same quarter, the highest proportion of new sale transactions comprised units between 500 and 700 sqft, taking up a third or 33% of units sold. This unit size range mainly consists of 1- and 2-bedroom units.

The next highest proportion comprises units 700 to 1,000 sqft wide, taking up 32% of all units sold. Bedroom configurations at this size ranged from 1+study bedroom type in prime districts and 2- to 3-bedroom types.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
