Chart of the Day: Resale volume in Q1 up 9.1%

There are 2,170 resale deals recorded in the said quarter.

This chart from the Urban Redevelopment Authority shows that resale transactions in the private residential market grew by 9.1% in the first quarter of the year.

According to URA, resale transactions accounted for 41.7% of all sale transactions in 1Q17, compared to the 44.3% in the previous quarter.

Meanwhile, the subsale market saw fewer deals in the past quarter, recording only 70 transactions compared to the 125 in the previous quarter. This market accounts for 1.3% of all sale transactions in 1Q17.
