Chart of the Day: Share of resold low-cost condos edged up to 24.9% in Q3

Proportions of units by price range remained unchanged.

This chart by Edmund Tie Research revealed that the proportion of condo resale units lower than $1m edged up from 23.8% in Q2 to 24.9% in Q3, whilst the proportions for the rest of price ranges remained relatively unchanged.

Still, units priced between $1m and $1.5m dominated resales in the quarter, making up almost a third or 32.8% of all resold units. In this range, there was a rise in the proportion of units in the outside central region (OCR).

There was also a growth in the proportion of units in the core central region (CCR) that were priced above $2m. Most of it came from newer developments that have obtained the Certificate of Statutory Completion.

Overall, condo resale volumes slipped 8.5% QoQ to 1,855 units, reversing the 22% QoQ expansion from the previous quarter.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
