Gov’t to upgrade 29,000 HDB flats

Over $407m will be allocated.

The Ministry of National Development and the Housing and Development Board have selected over 29,000 HDB flats for upgrading, in the latest selection of the Home Improvement Programme (HIP).

Over $407m will be allocated for the upgrading of flats located in Choa Chu Kang, Pasir Ris, Tampines and Jurong West.

HIP-selected households can also opt for a range of senior-friendly fittings such as foldable shower seats, rocker switches, and slip-resistant bathroom floor tiles, under the Enhancement for Active Seniors programme.

Since its launch in 2012, about 340,000 households have benefitted from the EASE programme as at 31 January 2025—including the EASE 2.0 programme.
