HDB rents rise 1.0% MoM in February

By room type, Executive recorded the highest rent increase.

HDB rents rose by 1.0% MoM and 8.4% YoY in February, according to data from 99.co and SRX.

Rents climbed in non-mature estates (+0.5% MoM) and mature estates (+1.3% MoM).

All room types recorded MoM rent increases in February, led by Executive with a 2.6% increase, followed by 4 Room (+1.5% YoY), 3 Room (+0.4% Mom), and 5 Room (+0.3%).

Rental volumes, on the other hand, fell 19.1% MoM and 8.4% YoY to 2,448 HDB flats.

The latest record was 6.9% lower than the five-year average volume for February.

Of the total volume, 31.7% was from 3 Room, 37.3% from 4 Room, 25.4% from 5 Room and 5.7% from Executive.
