HDB rents slipped 0.5% in September
Volumes dipped 3.8% to 1,690 units rented.
Housing and Development Board (HDB) flat rents dipped 0.5% MoM with HDB 3 rooms leading the rate declines at 1.2%, SRX Property revealed.
Rental rates for HDB 4 rooms and HDB Executive also decreased by 0.3% and 0.6%, respectively. Both mature estates and non-mature estates saw a slip in rental rates by 0.9% and 0.1% MoM, respectively.
On a YoY basis, the rental rates for the HDB market dipped 1% from September 2017. The rates also slid 15.6% from its peak in August 2013.
For mature and non-mature estates, rental decreases were recorded at 0.9% and 1.2% YoY, respectively. Meanwhile, HDB rents dipped 0.1% QoQ.
In terms of volumes, HDB rented flats dipped 3.8% to 1,690 units from 1,757 units rented in August. It is also a 0.9% decrease from the 1,705 units rented in September 2017.
