HDB resale prices down 0.3%

As volume decreased by 4%.

The resale market recorded a decrease in prices for the month of April, slightly down by 0.3% QoQ.

According to SRX Property, resale prices of 5 Rooms increased by 0.2%, while HDB 3 Rooms, HDB 4 Rooms and HDB Executive decreased by 0.2%, 0.7%, and 0.9%, respectively.

The same rate of decline is recorded on a yearly basis. But in terms of its peak in April 2013, resale prices have declined by 11.4%.

The downtrend in resale prices came as volume dipped 4%. Data from SRX showed that 1,834 HDB resale flats were sold in April, from 1,910 transacted units in March.

On a yearly basis, this is a 0.9% decline compared to 1,850 units resold in April 2016. It was down by 49.7% compared to its peak of 3,649 units in May 2010.
