Million-dollar HDB flat sales set to exceed 450 in 2023

The 2023 sales will be about 25% higher than 2022’s sales.

By the end of 2023, there will be around 460 flats sold for a million dollars or more, translating to a 25% YoY jump from Singapore’s 2022 record of 369 transactions.

According to Huttons, the top three HDB towns with the greatest number of million-dollar flats in 2023 were Bukit Merah, Toa Payoh and Kallang/Whampoa.

In September 2023, Bukit Panjang recorded its first million-dollar flat.

Of the total transactions in 2023, about 60% are in the price range of $1m to $1.1m.

“With more demand for resale flats in mature estates without resale restrictions, the number of transactions above $1.1m appears to be trending up,” Huttons commented.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
