Number of resold million-dollar HDB flats drop 22% MoM in September

The top HDB resale flat in September was an Executive Room in Bishan St. 24.

There were only 42 million-dollar HDB resale flats transacted in September, translating to a 22% drop from August when 54 flats were resold.

With the addition of the September sales, the number of HDB resale flats sold for the year (9M23) has reached 336, representing 1.7% of the total HDB resale volumes.

“Compared to the same period in 2022, million-dollar resale flat sales were up by about 21% from 277 units resold in 9M 2022. This looks on track to smash the record of 369 million-dollar resale flats transacted in the whole of 2022,” Propnex said.

The top HDB resale flat transacted in September was a 172 sqm Executive Room at Bishan St 24, sold for $1.45m or $783 psf.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
