Prices tick up as HDB resale volume hits 2-year high in June

1,709 flats were transacted.

Overall HDB resale prices booked a marginal 0.1% month-on-month gain in June as transaction volume reached a 2-year high.

According to data from SRX Property, 1,709 were transacted on the secondary market in June, 8.5% higher than the 1,575 units resold in May. This is also 30% higher compared to the 1,315 units resold in June last year, and marks the highest resale volume since May 2013.

Prices of 3-bedroom flats dropped by 0.2%, while prices of 4- and 5-room flat resale prices inched up by 0.3% and 0.5%, respectively. The resale price of ECs grew by 0.7%.

HDB resale prices decreased by 0.4% in mature estates and increased by 0.3% in non-mature estates.

Year-on-year, prices have dropped 4.4% from June 2014. Prices have declined 10.9% since the peak in April 2013.
