Private condo rental volume rose 21.7% in January

Rental prices inched up 0.5%.

The Singapore Real Exchange (SRX) reported that private condo rental volume increased by 21.7% MoM, rising from 3,449 units rented in December to 4,198 units in January.

Rental volume saw an increase of 4.3% YoY, with only 4,023 units rented in January last year.

Further, rental prices inched up by 0.5% MoM, and units in RCR and OCR grew by 2.7% and 0.2%, respectively, whilst CCR decreased by 1.3%.

On a yearly basis, rents fell by 0.9% during the month. CCR and OCR declined by 1% and 2.2%, respectively, whilst RCR increased by 0.6%.
