Private residential leases continue rise every Q3

Contracts for private residential properties stood at 26,882 during the period, exceeding 27,145 contracts in Q3 2021.

Private residential leases traditionally peak during the third quarter of each year, as expatriates and international students relocate to the city-state in line with global corporate relocation cycles and academic calendars, Savills said.

The number of leasing contracts for private residential properties (excluding ECs) across the island Q3 2025 experienced a 24.2% QoQ increase, rising to 26,882 from the 21,638 in Q22025, Savills Reseach & Consultancy and URA data showed.

It stands as the highest quarterly volume since Q32021, when 27,145 contracts were registered, they added.

This also represents a 3.2% YoY increase from the 26,037 contracts recorded for the same period last year.

Landed homes led the quarterly increase with a sharp 36.4% rise, followed by non-landed units,  which experienced a slightly lower growth of  23.6%, Savills said.

Within the non-landed segment, the Outside Central Region experienced the strongest QoQ increase at 24.6%, followed by the Rest of Central Region and the Core Central Region, which posted QoQ gains of 24.2% and 21.7%, respectively.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
