Time to own the first BTO flats of 2012

3,923 new apartments now up for grabs with priority for first-timer households.

This is the initial wave of an estimated 25,000 BTO units to be offered by the Housing and Development Board over the year.

Selling prices start from as low as $77,000 for a studio apartment in Sunshine Gardens up to $340,000 for a 5-room unit in Waterway Sunbeam. Locations include Choa Chu Kang, Punggol, Sengkang and Tampines.

"At least 95% of the flat supply (excluding Studio Apartments) will be set aside for first-timer households. Eligible first-timer households can also enjoy various housing grants to help them own a new BTO flat," said HDB in a release.

Applications for the new flats end January 17.

The second set of 4,110 flats will be offered by HDB in March 2012. These will be located in Bedok, Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang, Bukit Timah, Clementi, Geylang and Toa Payoh.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
