Top real estate agents earn 66% more than average employees, reveals survey

Incomes are still high despite sales downturn.

Despite weak sales and muted market sentiment, top property agents at Singapore’s largest real estate agency still earned considerably more than full-time employees, according to latest statistics released by ERA Realty Network.

The agency revealed that the monthly commission earned by their top 300 real estate agents hit $11,686.49 in 2015, 66% higher compared to the median gross monthly income of regular employees, which stood at $3,949 last year.

These 300 agents aged from 23 to 65 years old, with 4 of them aged above 60 years old, earning more than $133,876 annually despite being at their retirement age.
ERA’s top achiever Kavin Kuah has earned median monthly gross commission of $119,873.27 at the young age of 28.

“Real estate is a good career path if you are someone who looks forward to no-ceiling income. There are always opportunities around, it’s all about commitment, passion and perseverance,” Kuah says.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
