Gogoro opens showroom with three models

The scooters will be available starting November.

Gogoro and Cycle & Carriage has unveiled a new showroom in Singapore, showcasing three Smartscooter models: the Gogoro SuperSport, Gogoro Premium, and Gogoro Viva Mix.

The Gogoro SuperSport features the SSmartcore system and offers a range of up to 170 kilometre (km). The Gogoro Premium model shares the same range with a 6.4 kilowatt power output, whilst Gogoro Viva Mix is a lightweight, compact option with a riding range of up to 150 km.

The scooters will be available starting November, with Maybank Singapore being the first bank to offer 2B motorcycle financing for Gogoro Smartscooters. All models will use Gogoro’s battery swapping technology, offered through a monthly energy subscription starting at $70, which includes unlimited battery swaps.

Cycle & Carriage will have four battery swapping GoStations across Singapore, with over 100 swappable smart batteries available by the first quarter of 2025. Additional GoStations are planned at Shell Service stations over the next 12 months.

Although electric motorbikes accounted for only one percent of registered motorbikes in Singapore in 2023, and consumers are apprehensive about purchasing due to the price or the downtime required from tethered charging, Gogoro noted a strong market potential for growth in the country.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
